Jim launched his career as a financial advisor in 1992. He is proud of the many highlights throughout his career that include company-wide recognition with Wachovia Securities as an outstanding performer in his first year, being recognized several times with BB&T as the “Best of the Best” during his tenure, and consistently being recognized as a “Peak Performer.”
He made the decision to start his own investment firm in 2011 with the goal of focusing on improving client services and creating deeper relationships with them. He wanted to provide more communication options and allow access to their account information both electronically and in-person. Jim is a North Carolina native and graduated from Davidson College in 1985. His wife, Sheila, works at Methodist University in town. Their son, Carr, is entering his senior year at Jim’s Alma Mater, and their younger son, Rett, is in high school at Terry Sanford. In his leisure time, Jim enjoys spending time with his family, hunting and watching sports.
